I have been pretty busy these 10 days, digging, surfing the net for organic plants on sale, planting and going to work! My neighbor Bill is the Good Samaritan who will shovel snow, rake leaves and mow the lawns on our street, regardless of whose front yard it is! There are no fences between the houses in our street and I think it is wonderful as we can freely talk to one another whenever we step outside and spot someone. As I dug up more of my front yard to plant some flowers, I noticed a patch between our houses. Bill said they had tried to grow something in vain. I looked closely at the patch and discovered some purple plants that looked edible and even a rose plant! Taking a cue from Bill, I offered to tend the patch for him. His wife and daughter overheard us and we soon got into a fun conversation about where we were from, what kind of food we eat and growing vegetables. The conversation ended in a decision to grow stuff together! Bill let me borrow his wheel barrow and I offered to supply my homemade compost. Turned out his wife's cousin owns a horse farm and so a trip is on the anvil to get some horse manure! By evening, his cute 5 and 4 year old grandkids were watering the patch with their tiny watering cans!:)
I took some more pictures and videos of my plants and had great fun making these collages! Hope you like them.

| These came up again in my compost pit, even after I had pulled them all out. Any one knows what they are? |

| Planting flowers in my front yard! Whew! Hard work! |
 |
| Discovered these and rescued them. No idea who they are! |
 |
| Potato plants after 10 days (in trash cans), fenugreek, and squash, cucumber, tomatoes and mustard that I had just strewn on the soil in winter! |
Waiting for next month, when the basil and asparagus that I ordered will come and looking forward to growing more good food with my neighbors-for our sake and For Earth's Sake!

If all of us cross borders like this for "Earth's Sake" the world would be so much better place to live in.
Absolutely! And be the neighbor you want your neighbor to be!
